We are so excited and SO PROUD of Whitney!

We took her to her first "A" show and she did so well! The ponies were wonderful and acted like they've been showing on the big circuit for years! They both jumped everything we pointed them at and never batted an eye or even broke a sweat! They're so cool!

Melinda Grace sent our old pony Sugar down with us for some experience and to see if we could qualify for Pony Finals. We had SO MUCH FUN with Sugar again!

We put both ponies in the Green Pony Division and the Open Pony Division.

On Saturday, it was Sugar's turn to shine. She won the Over Fences, and the Hack in the Greens! She was soooooooooooo good! She also placed 4th in the Over Fences and Under Saddle in the Open Division.

That set her up well for possible trip to Pony Finals.

As for Sparky, he took 3rd in the Over Fences and Under Saddle on Saturday in the Greens and 6th in the Open Over Fences. We had Brook show him for us in both the Under Saddles and he was a little nervous with her LONG legs, but he tried to be good for her. I don't think he's ever had anyone quite that tall on him. Thanks to Brook for helping us out!

Sunday was Sparky's turn! He won BOTH the Over Fences classes in the Green division, and when they added up his points, he emerged

SHOW CHAMPION GREEN PONY HUNTER, Earning himself a trip to Lexington Kentucky for National Pony Finals! Whitney tried her hand at the Pony Medal for the first time ever and did well. She took 6th in that. We decided to drop the rest of Sparky's classes for Sunday since he had taken the Championship in the Greens and wasn't up for anything in the opens. What a great first "A" show for our Sparky-plug!

Sugar finished her show with just as much style and grace! She took 3rd in both the over fences classes earning herself the RESERVE SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP title in the Green Pony Hunter Division earning herself a spot in the trailer for Pony Finals as well! I think she & Sparky conspired the night before to make sure he went with her to Pony Finals!

She also took a 3rd and a 6th in the Open Division!

When all was said & done, Whitney and the ponies ended up with 17 ribbons!

4 First place ribbons

5 Third place ribbons

2 Fourth place ribbons (O.K., they're white,,,,,,,,,,,,that won't work here!)

4 sixth place ribbons

2 TRI_COLORS

Oh yeah, and she won her first Trophy Blanket!!!!!!
